Oral Surgeon Michael Daetwyler, DDS
Dr. Daetwyler grew up in Southern Indiana with 5 sisters, his father who was an ENT surgeon, and his mother who was a nurse. After high school, he spent two years on a religious mission in Madrid, Spain, and then returned to graduate magna cum laude with his degree in Microbiology from Brigham Young University. During his undergraduate years, he was able to spend 4 months studying abroad in Jerusalem, where he met his future wife.
After college, he returned to his home state to attend Indiana University School of Dentistry where he graduated valedictorian of his class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. Dr. Daetwyler then went on to complete a 4-year residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the UCSF Fresno campus in California. He enjoyed learning a broad range of surgical procedures and frequently used his fluency in Spanish. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of the Colorado Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and Larimer County Dental Association.
Dr. Daetwyler spent many spring breaks and summers visiting his grandparents in Littleton, CO and is thrilled to have settled down with his own family in the charming town of Fort Collins. Out of the office he enjoys biking, gardening, hiking, and the occasional game of tennis. Mostly though, he and his wife just try to keep up with their four young boys. They look forward to serving this community as a family for many years to come.
